Aurora, Minn. (March 27, 2023) – Hunter Patenaude raced to triple crown finishes of 2-2-6 on Friday night to claim second overall at the AMSOIL Championship Snocross round 13 tour stop in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
On Saturday Patenaude posted another top five overall with finishes of 8-4-5. The eighth place to start the night was a result of getting pinched in the tight 180 degree turn at the end of the start straight, relegating Hunter to the back of the pack and costing him a spot or two in the final outcome.
Logan Christian had a mechical issue in the first race of Friday’s triple crown which, combined with finishes of sixth and eighth in the final two features, gave him an overall score of eighth. On Saturday, Christian improved with scores of 6-6-7 to finish just behind teammate Patenaude in sixth overall.
Nathan LaValley had a heat race win to go along with a fourth place finish in the Sport Lite main event on Saturday.
While in Michigan, the team made stops at two area schools where we interacted with students and presented Race to the Future Scholarshop on behalf of the U.S. Air Force.
The 2023 season comes to a close this weekend as the tour completes rounds 15 and 16 at Sundown Mountain Ski Resort in Dubuque, Iowa.
