Hunter Patenaude First Two Time Winner In 2023
Aurora, Minn. (December 20, 2022) – After starting the season with nothing but bad luck, Hunter Patenaude righted the ship at rounds three and four by sweeping both Pro finals. Patenaude was nearly perfect throughout the weekend winning three out of four heat races and finishing second in the other.
On Friday night, Logan Christian turned in his best performance since joining the team. Logie finished second in the Pro main event, making it a 1-2 podium in front of an overflow crowd at Canterbury Park, just outside of the Twin Cities metro.
Christian remains firmly planted in the top 10 in the standings, just one point out of fifth, while Patenaude’s points windfall catapults him from 10th to second overall. The weekend was a hard-earned reward for the effort the entire team put in over the holidays
Sport Lite racer Nate Lavalley had a pair of top three finishes in his qualifying rounds and finished seventh and eighth in his main events.
On Thursday the team made visits at area schools where we gave tours of the team transporter, interacted with students and presented Race to the Future scholarships on behalf of the U.S. Air Force.
Up next is the always thrilling U.S. Air Force National in Deadwood, South Dakota on Janauary 27-28.
